Cinnamon: Sherbet Series 5 by Comme Des Garçons - Fragrance Review

Cinnamon: Sherbet Series 5 by Comme Des Garçons

Notes:

Top: Cinnamon, Cedar, Bergamot
Heart: Carnation, Benzoin, Saffron
Base: Teak wood, Vetiver, White Musk

Strength: Eau De Toilette
Gender Label: Unisex
Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour

Although I'm no stranger to the house of Comme Des Garçons, Cinnamon was the first Comme Des Garçons fragrance I purchased that belongs to one of their themed 'series' fragrance lines. CDG fragrance fans will be aware that the house have created many fragrances that appear to belong to a conceptual collection. The most famous of these collections is Incense: Series 3

Cinnamon belongs to Sherbet: Series 5. I'm not sure exactly how CDG describe the concept of Series 5, but to me (having tested all three fragrances in that series) it would appear that the concept was to create fragrances centered around an ingredient that is edible. The other two scents that are available in this collection are Peppermint and Rhubarb

La Fumée by Miller Harris - Fragrance Review

Notes:
Top: Lavender, Elemi, Incense
Heart: Cardamom, Coriander, Cumin, Geranium, Chamomile
Base: Cedar, Agarwood, Santal, Cade, Birch Tar, Amber

Strength: Eau De Parfum
Gender Label: Unisex
Perfumer: Lyn Harris

PLEASE NOTE: This is a review for the original La Fumée, not any of the fragrances that are part of the La Fumée collection.

La Fumée is beautiful fragrance centered around one of my favourite notes in perfumery, incense. La Fumée, translated into english, means "smoke", and that's precisely what you get with this scent.

8 88 by Comme Des Garçons - Fragrance Review

The scent of gold?...

Notes: Safraleine, Pepperwood, Curcuma,
Coriander, Geranium, Amber, Incense, Patchouli

Strength: Eau De Parfum
Gender label: Unisex
Perfumer: Antoine Lie

Comme Des Garçons 8 88 is undoubtedly one of the most unusual perfumes I've ever gotten my nose on. I use the word "unusual" in the most positive way possible. I knew that, when I first encountered this, I had to own it and make it my signature scent.
Like anybody who is thinking about buying a new fragrance should, I tested this out multiple times before finally making my purchase. These tests only made me want it more. I've had my 100ml bottle for almost a year now and I still love it just as much as I did upon first sniff.

I think you can probably guess where this review is going, but here's my take on this fragrance.
