Spring Fragrance Picks 2018

Hi everyone!

It may not be summer yet, but we're experiencing a heatwave here in the *cough* "sunny" north-west of England... lets see how long it lasts 'till we're back to normal, shall we?

Anyway, wherever you are, here are my fragrant choices to commemorate the blooming spring weather (and bring back our memories of it when it's gone!)

Eau De Citron Noir by Hermès
Eau De Citron Noir is the newest addition to Hermès' collection of Eau De Colognes and it's absolutely stunning! This is not usually the sort of scent I would choose to wear, but I've been trying it out a lot lately and I'm very impressed.

The fragrance is a very simple, natural-smelling blend of lemon and lime with an ever so slightly smoky undertone. There's nothing sharp or bitter about it, it's very smooth and refreshing. This is a great uplifting scent for those warmer spring days, undoubtedly unisex and combines perfectly with a crisp linen shirt and shorts.

Mon Guerlain Florale by Guerlain
The new Florale Eau De Parfum edition of Guerlain's beautiful 2017 pillar fragrance, Mon Guerlain, is a very pretty addition to the collection. Not too different from the original in it's formula, but the volume on the vanilla has been turned down and the introduction of floral notes, such as peony, add a spring-like touch to this elegant scent without smelling too much like a bouquet.

Champs De Provence by Eight & Bob
The newest addition to the Eight & Bob fragrance collection is perfect for those looking for a classy spring/summer scent. Champs De Provence appears to take inspiration from classic colognes, but still retains elements of modernity. A very sophisticated mixture of neroli, orange blossom and bergamot that is extremely long-lasting on skin (well it is on mine anyway) and a great alternative to the usual aquatic spring/summer scents. If you're a fan of fragrances like Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino, I highly recommend you give this one a try.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post! Have you tried these fragrances yet? What fragrances will you be wearing in this year's spring heat?

Josh :-)
